The integration with Anzu’s in-game advertising platform will give OpenX’s advertisers the ability to programmatically serve IAB-recognised in-game video and banner ads at scale across mobile, PC, and console platforms. Fully GDPR, COPPA, and CCPA compliant, Anzu’s innovative SDK technology integrated into games delivers high-quality direct traffic with complete control over ad placements and first-party data.

The company powers effective and impactful audience targeting on the open web by enabling marketers to leverage first and third-party data to reach their target audience across OpenX’s global network of publishers.

"We are always looking to create more value for our partners. For marketers, this means integrating with new, cutting-edge ad units that will help them engage their target audiences. Gaming is an industry with an audience that is growing at an unprecedented rate and shows no signs of slowing down. Our integration with Anzu enables marketers to programmatically reach this audience through immersive ad placements that respect the gameplay and naturally match the environment."

To boost advertiser confidence in gaming as a media channel and to show its value, Anzu has brought existing digital marketing standards in-game, together with advertising giant WPP. Anzu partners with trusted Ad Tech providers such as Moat, Comscore, Nielsen, and Kantar to ensure fraud-free and brand-safe environments and measure ad viewability, brand lift, and audience verification. A recent pilot with Cheq showed an increase of 23% in ad viewability using Anzu over traditional 2D digital advertising. Clients include top global brands American Eagle, 7- Eleven, McDonald’s, and Vodafone, alongside popular game studios Ubisoft and Amanotes.

Many advertisers have already seen incredible results from using Anzu’s in-game ads. Klarna recently reported an ad viewability rate of 95% compared to the 64% average and a video completion rate (VCR) of 81.2% compared to the 56% average. Samsung also recently reported 91% average viewability for an in-game ad campaign to promote the Galaxy S20 5G.
