Deutsche Telekom Sees Huge Success With Its First In-Game Ad Campaign
Anzu was delighted to work on an in-game advertising campaign for Fortune 500 company Deutsche Telekom, the largest telecommunications provider in Europe. The brand had three main goals: increase ad awareness, campaign awareness, and brand consideration.
Deutsche Telekom’s campaign sought to promote its high speed internet, highly favored by gamers. Rather than trying to reach its audience on social media or follow them around the web.
The company decided the best way to communicate with its target audience was to meet them where they were spending most of their time, within their favorite games!

The campaign ran across a curated list of premium mobile and PC titles from Anzu’s vast inventory via non-disruptive in-game ad placements designed to perfectly compliment the gaming environment.
Thanks to Anzu’s partnership with AudienceProject, Deutsche Telekom ran a brand lift study to understand how the campaign was received by players and its impact on the campaign objectives.
